I've had my Lumia 920 since Monday and I love this device but I've run into a weird issue.
After connecting to my Exchange mailbox (through my company on Exchange 2010), I randomly get prompted that the password is incorrect and to re-enter it. Entering my domain password works and it continues syncing for a little while. Oddly enough,
backing out of the prompt without entering my password will allow it to sync.
Things I've tried:
Power cycling (naturally the first thing...)
Deleting and adding the Exchange account (along with removing listed Mobile devices for my account directly from the Exchange management console)
Changing my password on the domain
Hard reset of the device
Bypassed configuring my Live account and going straight to the Exchange set up after the wipe
Changed my Live account password
I've been running Windows 8 Enterprise on my laptop since it was released on Technet and had my domain account connected with my Live account so I disconnected the accounts because at one point it said that I needed to update my domain password on the PC Settings app. I also updated my password there as well.
And no luck so far. One of the guys I work with mentioned that an exec had a Surface tablet so our department ordered one for testing and to make sure we could troubleshoot issues if any arose. They haven't had any trouble with Activesync like
I have. We also have plenty of iPhone and Android devices and no issues with them either.
Is there anything else I can check/reconfigure?
Just to satisfy my curiosity, I created a new mailbox in Exchange and added it to my Lumia (after removing my main account) and after about 15 minutes of syncing without issue, it started prompting for the accounts password.
How could a brand new Windows Phone 8 device have this kind of issue talking to Exchange 2010 when iPhones and Androids don't even flinch?
