I have an Windows SBS Server 2011 and am trying to add an email alias to an existing Exchange 2010 mailbox. It fails, and I get the following event generated in the event logs: - System - Provider [ Name] MSExchange CmdletLogs - EventID 6 [ Qualifiers] 49152 Level 2 Task 1 Keywords 0x80000000000000 - TimeCreated [ SystemTime] 2012-12-06T21:19:06.000000000Z EventRecordID 17497 Channel MSExchange Management Computer VM-SBS01.wem.local Security - EventData Set-Mailbox {Identity=wem.local/MyBusiness/Users/Clubs/BAY, EmailAddresses={SMTP:manager@cherokeebaytown.com, X500:/o=wem.local/ou=first administrative group/cn=Recipients/cn=’mailNickname’, smtp:bay@western-ent.com, smtp:manager@electriccowboybaytown.com}} wem.local/MyBusiness/Users/SBSUsers/Citoc S-1-5-21-3734452644-2058196935-531683844-1156 S-1-5-21-3734452644-2058196935-531683844-1156 ServerRemoteHost-EMC 10376 111 00:00:00.1560070 View Entire Forest: 'True', Configuration Domain Controller: 'VM-SBS01.wem.local', Preferred Global Catalog: 'VM-SBS01.wem.local', Preferred Domain Controllers: '{ VM-SBS01.wem.local }' Microsoft.Exchange.Configuration.ObjectModel.ProxyAddressExistsException: The proxy address "X500:/o=wem.local/ou=first administrative group/cn=Recipients/cn=’mailNickname’" is already being used by "wem.local/MyBusiness/Users/DJs/WEM Music". Please choose another proxy address. Client So I was curious and tried to add a separate email alias to a separate mailbox and the same event was generated. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, as we currently can no longer add email aliases for any user on the server until we resolve. I have since upgraded Exchange 2010 to SP2 Rollup 4v2 but problem still exists. Thanks in advance. | |||
