Moving DAG member to different location

Hi,

I've been asked to move a DAG member from our DR site back to the head office because of issues with the amount of bandwidth the replication is consuming.  We are in the middle of a Exchange 2007 --> 2010 migration.  We currently have three DAG members, two at the head office and one in DR.  At the head office we have two vlans, one is used for MAPI and the other for replication.  Again in the DR we have two vlans.

The plan is to move the DR member back and get three copies at the head office whilst we migrate the rest of the users.  Once this is done we need to move it back to DR...

I've been researching this and looking through previous posts so think I have a vague idea of how to go about this.  I would really appreciate if I can get feedback on my plan incase I have missed some crucial element!

1. Allocate a two new IPs for the DR server when it moves back to head office in the corresponding MAPI and replication subnet.

2. Suspend the Database copies to the DR site

3. Shut down and disable the Exchange services on the DR box

4. Change the IP addresses of the MAPI and Replication NICs in the DR box

5. Move the server to the head office, boot server back up.

6. Test connectivity between that server and the other Exchange servers for both MAPI and Replication

7. Restart the Exchange services

8. Update the Dag networks to reflect to new IP addresses for the server

9. Resume database replication to the DR box and check the status/health.

Hopefully that should be okay?

thanks in advance

Brian.
