An IIS directory entry couldn't be created. The error mesage is Access is Denied HResult = -2147034891

Hi,

I'm running SBS 2011 with Exchange 2010. OWA stopped working and I can't recreate, remove, enable Outlook Anywhere on the SBS 2011 Server.

Here's what I've done so far:

  • Added Exchange Trusted Subsystem to the Administrator Group/Added Administrator Group to the Exchange Trusted Subsystem
  • Remove the OWA metabase using the IIS resource kit, I'm not sure I did this correctly but I removed it.
  • Tried every google post I've seen, nothing seems to work.

I also receive this message when I try to open https://server/owa directory:

(Web object 'IIS://SERVER.domain.local/W3SVC/1/ROOT' can't be found.)
