Anti spam disabled but still filtering

Hi We are using GFI mail essentials for antispam. We have disabled exchange antispam but this still appears to be filtering emails as we have items which are whitelisted in mailessentials which are appearing in junk. All clients are outlook 2003 it's cached mode disabled and no client antispam so it's not at the client end. Any assistance would be great fully received Kind regards Simon
