Replication Network and MAPI Network Port Requirements

Hi,

I’ve read the Exchange 2010 Network Port Reference TechNet article (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb331973(v=exchg.141).aspx ) and have also reviewed this excellent document r.e. Exchange 2010 Network Ports (http://eightwone.com/2010/12/27/exchange-2010-network-ports/) . What I am unclear on is which Exchange 2010 network will use what ports referenced in these documents?

So far I have picked up on the following port requirements:

CAS <--> CAS = TCP_80,TCP_443
HT <--> HT = TCP_25
HT <--> MBX = TCP_135, Dynamic TCP (1024-65535)
MBX <--> MBX = TCP_135, Dynamic TCP (1024-65535), UDP_3343, TCP_64327
 

Let’s say we have a 2 node DAG stretched across 2 sites with a physical firewall between the sites. The DAG members have 2 Networks, one for MAPI traffic and one for DAG replication. What ports will need to be opened for the MAPI network and what ports will be required for the Replication Network? Will the Replication network only require TCP_64327 & UDP_3343 or will all DAG traffic use the Replication Network?

Any help would be appreciated.
