hi,
i am facing an issue connecting outlook 2010 to exchange 2010 on SBS2011. the domain name is xxxx.com and i configured an email policy for a domain yyyy.com and set it as default.
when creating the mailboxes the emails are generated as username@yyyy.com
if a logon to a station having win7 and outlook2010 installed and try to configure outlook2010 to connect to exchange, outlook is able to detect the mailbox and set it automatically but when starting outlook for the first time it hangs for a minute on "loading profile" then displays the error "Cannot open your default e-mail folders. You must connect to Microsoft Exchange with the current profile before you can synchronize your folders with your Outlook data file (.ost)"
i tried to connect to the mailbox using web app and it is working.
i checked the RPC service on exchange and it is started.
i noticed that no certification message is displayed upon outlook configuration.
i deleted the profile and the .ost file (size is 0kB) and recreated another profile with a "manual configuration" and the wizard is able to complete the "check name" but after clicking on "finish" same eror occur.
any idea what could be the problem?
