I'm pulling my hair out and this should be fairly simple. I managed to transition my mailboxes, public folders, free/busy from our exchange 2003 server to 2010. But the OAB just doesn't show up in the 2010 EMC. When I go to the Offline Address Book tab
there are no items to show. After trying to check permissions and everything else I finally decided I would just create a new one. But when I try to create a new offline address book (no matter what options I choose) I get this error every time:
newlist
Failed
Error:
The parent object for newlist could not be found. Please check that \ exists.

Management Shell command attempted:
new-OfflineAddressBook -Name 'newlist' -Server 'RAINIER' -AddressLists '\Default Global Address List' -PublicFolderDistributionEnabled $true
Elapsed Time: 00:00:00
I really don't have any interest in getting my old OAB, I just want to create a new one so that I can get rid of the old server. Why is it not letting me create one?! anyone have any ideas?
