Installed new SSL omitting the .local commonn name, and now Outlook 2010 client throwing Certificate errors...

Our SSL Cert for the Exchange 2010 Server expired, and when I renewed it, I had to drop the "Servername.Domainname.local" common name and of course, the Outlook 2010 client is whining about it upon every launch..

We put in a 5-Year SSL for the "Mail.DomainName.com", and because we had to drop the .local, to avoid the whole impending 11/01/2015 issue the Outlook client starting throwing errors...

I put in a secondary SSL for 1 year on the "Servername.Domainname.local" hoping to skirt the error until I can actually fix the issue, No luck...

I found THIS:

http://www.digicert.com/ssl-support/redirect-internal-exchange-san-names.htm

I'm wondering if running the commands in the "Redirecting your Exchange Server to use the External DNS Name" section would solve this?

ANY Assistance VERY MUCH Appreciated!

At this point, I'm NOT sure in which direction to turn...
